Dear Welch Sharks,
Welcome to a new season of summer swimming! We are so excited to get this season
started! We have an amazing group of
families who support this team.
Elsewhere on this blog is a calendar outlining all of our fun
activities (besides swimming!). Some of
these include: a bagel breakfast, a pancake breakfast, a pasta party, and the
end-of-season banquet.
In years past, we have held several fundraisers each season
(Marianna’s Hoagies, Little Ceasars, Hoss’s, etc.) in order to provide funds
for all of these fun activities.
However, these fundraisers are very time consuming and difficult to
coordinate with summer travel schedules.
So this year, we would like to try something new. Instead of fundraising, we are asking each
family to consider a donation of $10 per child on the team. We hope that this will make fundraising
easier and still provide us with the money we need to continue the
activities. This will not replace the
donations we need for the concession stand for the home meets or the drink
donation we ask each family to contribute.
Below is a form for the donation. There are also lines to donate for tie-dying
supplies and the end-of-season gifts for the coaches. If you would like to contribute and not have
to worry about sending in any more checks, we will dedicate the appropriate
amounts to each fund.
